Ideas4wood 2026/27

Ideas4wood – Premio Carpanelli is an international competition that allows us to look to the future while celebrating our roots, bringing tradition and innovation together.

Designing an object by exploring and enhancing the beauty of fine woods is an exciting creative journey. This challenge has brought together numerous young and emerging designers, as well as students from some of the world’s leading universities and design academies.

Numerous projects have been submitted, with the best proposals selected and awarded by the Jury. Prototypes have been developed from some of the most promising concepts, which are now part of our official collections.

Carpanelli, a company with over 100 years of expertise in fine cabinetmaking, presents the Carpanelli Award, “A NEW TOUCH OF ELEGANCE,” as part of the ninth edition of the IDEAS4WOOD Design Contest 2026/2027.

The specific product categories are:

• LIVING AREA: The heart of the modern home, designed for welcoming guests, relaxing and socialising. The project must feature an ICONIC TABLE as its central element.
• STUDY AREA: Conceived as a discreet space within the modern home, integrated with the living area. The project must feature a DESK / WRITING DESK as its central element.

The designed furniture pieces must complement the aesthetic and atmosphere of our “A New Touch of Elegance” collection.

Particular attention should be paid to:

• Research into current trends in the furniture and interior design industry (A New Touch).
• A contemporary interpretation of elegance, expressed through the use of premium, eco-sustainable materials, meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship (of Elegance).
