The Ideas4wood — Carpanelli Award is an international competition that allows us to look to the future by enhancing our roots, combining tradition and innovation.

Designing a design object starting from the knowledge and enhancement of precious woods is a compelling design process that has put numerous young and emerging designers to the test on the one hand and students from the best universities and design academies on the other.

Numerous projects were presented, the best proposals were selected and awarded by the Jury. Some of the most promising designs have been prototyped and are now part of our official collections.

CARPANELLI, company of furniture with 100 years of history dedicated to high-level cabinetmaking, within the 6th edition of the Design Contest IDEAS4WOOD 2023/2024 promotes Carpanelli Award “A NEW TOUCH OF ELEGANCE”.
Every single project must aim to create a piece of furniture included in one of the following categories:

• BOOKCASES
• SIDEBOARDS and CABINETS
• COMPLEMENTS (e.g. CONSOLE, DIVIDERS, SMALL CABINETS)

and that pays attention to:

• research on current trends in the furniture industry (a new touch)
• to a current concept of elegance understood as use of precious and eco-sustainable materials, as search of the details and as craftsmanship of the workings (of elegance)
