Luxury furniture production in the Brianza district is internationally renowned. It is no coincidence that the so-called “Furniture District” of Brianza is home to the world’s highest concentration of high-end furniture companies.
In this territory, outstanding craftsmanship, manual expertise, and highly specialized skills have developed across every aspect of luxury furniture production.
Everything revolves around excellence and fine artistry, from the cabinetmaker to the inlay artisan to the upholsterer, making it the ideal location to find everything required to create a truly unique interior design project.
This story began at the start of the 19th century, when woodworking began to spread throughout the Brianza countryside. To supplement limited agricultural income, some families began producing furniture and accessories for the residences of French nobility.
Following the French occupation, which facilitated commercial and cultural exchange between Paris – then the international capital of furniture – and Brianza, the most skilled artisans gradually abandoned agricultural work to devote themselves entirely to the artistic production of fine furniture. This tradition remains active today and serves as a global benchmark.
With the establishment of the Viceroy of the Napoleonic Kingdom of Italy at the Royal Villa of Monza, the most talented local artisans were commissioned to furnish the villa’s opulent and luxurious interiors.
It was during this period that the tradition of luxury furniture was born. It’s a tradition that remains strong today and that we proudly export all over the world.
